FOAH sept 17

What does FOAH do?

We are a group of parents and staff who meet once a month to share ideas and plan events for the children, adults and as a family. The key focus of these events is to create a fun, safe and social environment.

Any funds we raise at FOAH organised events is put back into the Academy. For example over the last few years funds raised have been used:

  • To contribute toward the cost of coaches on various school outings.
  • To pay for the pirate ship located between pre-school and 4+.
  • To contribute towards the reading book scheme.
  • To rejuvenate and create a fun and educational area in both the quiet and pond area.
  • To pay for high visibility vests for the preschool children.

Our meetings are by no means formal, more a friendly get together. Being a part of FOAH certainly doesn’t mean you have to commit to attending every event or meeting. There are other ways you can find out what we are doing, get in touch with us or have any ideas you would like to share;

 foah-tiny-icon Join our parent volunteer’s mailing list. If you provide us with your email address we will send you a copy of the monthly meeting minutes.

We also involve the Academy Council and listen to what ideas the children have and get them involved with the planning of some of the events.

Other Ways to Help

When you need to use a search engine or you wish to shop online don’t forget to visit using the website . To register create a login and a password and select Friends of Ardley Hill as the organisation you wish to support. Each time you make a purchase or a search via this website FOAH receives a contribution at no extra cost to you.

By ordering name tags online at FOAH will receive commission from all orders by using the School ID 35918. Remember to go through Easyfundraising first and you can earn extra commission!

FOAH have set up an account with The Book People resulting in the Academy being rewarded with 10% commission on parents orders in the form of school savings which can then be spent on books for the Academy. With this account all parents, carers, family and friends will also be able to take advantage of exclusive offers when shopping with The Book People. Attached are the details of how this works and the fundraising code to use DsNxMxn
