Extra Curriculum


This club is held on Mondays. This club is run in partnership with Dunstable Tennis Club.

Craft Club

This club is held at lunchtime on Thursdays between 12:30pm and 1:00pm in Belgium class. The club is run by Miss Turiano and Mrs Green and we try lots of exciting and different crafts ranging from basket weaving to clay modelling and leaf rubbing to tie dying. There is a cost of £20 payable in advance (£2 per session) for 10 sessions running each term.

Drama Club

Drama Club runs after school in the Hall on Wednesdays.

High Five Netball Club

This club will be on a first come, first served basis, for Years 4, 5 and 6 starting on Monday 24th April for 10 weeks at a cost of £2.00 per week = £20.00.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no training on Monday 1st and Monday 29th May as these are Bank Holidays.

Year 1 Football Training Club

Ardley Hill Football Club will be commencing training for all Year 1 pupils (boys and girls) on Monday evenings from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, commencing on Monday 8th May 2017.  The cost will be £2.00 per session and will run for 9 weeks until 10th July 2017 (£18 in total).

Roller Skating Club

Roller skating club runs after school in the Hall on Thursdays.

Hotshots Basketball

This club is held each Wednesday from 8:00-8:45am. There is a cost for this activity.  Please contact the Academy Office for more information.

Martial Arts Club

This club takes place every Friday from 3.30 – 4.30pm. Starting Friday 22nd January for 8 weeks. This club is run by Mrs Clinton*. There is a charge of £24.00 payable in advance (£3 per session) for this activity.

* Mrs Clinton is a fully qualified martial arts expert and has plenty of experience in this field.

Swimming Club

Ardley Sharks Swim School will commence from Monday 5th September 2016. Lessons will be starting from the normal time of 3.45pm and 4.15pm plus Saturday mornings from 8.30am.

All current pupils will be guaranteed a place for the new term. There will be some changes but we hope to keep these to a minimum and ensure that they are positive ones. The aim is to have smaller groups with more assistance in the water and a local point of contact on site at all times.

The swim school will be run in accordance with the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA Learn to Swim Pathway).

Love Art and Craft

KS1 Discover Award – These sessions will run every Wednesday from 26th April to 12th July 2017.

KS2 Explore Award – Dedicated children in KS2 (Year 3 – Year 6) will work over the spring and summer terms (January – July) to complete their Explore Award. This consists of 23 weeks.

Advance Notice

KS2 – Dedicated children in KS2 (Year 3 – Year 6) will work every Wednesday during the autumn 2017 and spring 2018 terms (13th September – 28th March – 24 weeks) to complete their Explore Award.

On Wednesday 6th September Love Art and Craft will be offering a half price (£3.50) one off trial session for children who would like to join the workshops but are unsure.

Inspiring Music

Inspiring Music is the Music Service of Central Bedfordshire, offering tuition and music making opportunities in schools and in the community.

Inspiring Music’s vision is to help people at all stages of life to participate in and enjoy music, supporting individuals in reaching their full potential in developing musical skills.

Violin lessons are offered every Tuesday lunch time.
