We are all back! So pleased to have all the children back at school.
STAR Club is opening tomorrow and the details are as follows:
We will be running STAR Club from the portakabins, located on Brewers Hill playground at the rear of the school.
As facilities are limited we will only be offering children toast, fruit and juice for both breakfast and after school.
STAR Club can be accessed from the metal gate situated at the side of Brewers Hill building. There will be a sign on the gate with our number on, so you can call us to come and unlock and let you in.
So, to confirm, we will be open from Wednesday 22nd June as normal, 7.45 for breakfast and 15.30 – 18.00 pm for after school club.
This seems to be going very smoothly so thank you for lining up so carefully and could you continue to leave space for the Brewers Hill children to get past.
Parking seemed to be more considerate this morning, but I’d just like to remind you that there are 100 spaces at Creasey Park that have been kindly set aside for parents to park in. Much better to use these than clog up local roads.
Also we had a big line at 8:30am. Please arrive at school no earlier than 8:50 am as we do not have the facility for you to wait so close to the road. At that time you can drop your child as we have a trail of staff every morning seeing your children into their classrooms. The swiftness off your drop off helps keep paths clear and ensures that children do not have to step into the road to get around you.
This is going very well within the school grounds.
We have revised our procedure for collection at home time for 4+ children.
Please wait for your child behind the green fences marked 4+ that are situated on the right hand side after you enter the Brewers Hill school gates.
Your children will be waiting to be collected from the red and white penned area.
Please wait on the grass, not in the road, until your child’s teacher has sent your child to you.
Thank your for your support and patience in this matter.
Parking is messy on pick up. Please can you park at Creasey Car Park. We have had lots of complaints from residents already and have had some abusive remarks taken down from Dunstable Spotted last night. I say again, we are guests here. I do not want this option to be lost to us because of a few people being thoughtless about where they park.
Sorry to sound so negative. We have just worked so hard to provide this place for all your children and I am worried it might not be workable going forward if we cause a nuisance.
Thanks again for your support, patience and so many kind words.
Children should wear their normal school uniform. They also need to bring a reading book everyday.
